Our prices here at Sue's Bake Hut depend on the size of your cake and how much detail you would like us to add to it. Starting prices for wedding cakes, party cakes and cupcakes are set out below...
Prices for our traditional 2 tier wedding cakes are typically £300 for an 8 inch and 10 inch two tier cake. The price includes a consultation in which we can have a chat about the type of wedding cake you would like and which of a wide range of flavours you prefer. We specialise in non-traditional wedding cakes which reflect the personalities or interests of the bride and groom: previous orders have ranged from a pair of wellington boots with the specially-modelled bride and groom sitting on top of them, to a cartoon snail!
Our 8 inch party cakes are typically about £90, but we can make larger cakes than this and the price may also be higher if more work/modelling than usual goes into the design. The panda and koala cakes on our home page (some of my favourite cakes to make!) cost £115.
We often receive calls asking for a particular theme (such as beer/wine, gardening, football or even lying on the sofa watching TV with a plate of biscuits to hand!) Just tell us what you have in mind and we will suggest a few designs and let you know how much it will cost. Drip-cakes covered in chocolates and other goodies are also very popular, and these typically cost about £85, with plenty of chocolate toppers included.
We can also supply cupcakes. Prices start from £3 each and again you can choose the design and the flavour. In the past, we have put photos of customers' family members and even x-rays on them! The minimum order for cupcakes is £18 (six cupcakes).
