Welcome to Sue's Bake Hut
Why buy from the shops when you can order delicious home-baked cakes at our friendly Ramsgate bakery just for you?
We can bake your cake for you, fresh to order. Our celebration cakes start from about £70. Just let us know what type of cake you would like and let us do the rest. Previous creations have included a teenager on a sofa eating toast, Noah's Ark (complete with animals), a birdwatcher with a bird in the nest and our customers' very own dogs and cats.
Our "showstoppers" include Patrick, our adorable panda cake (see the photo), for £115, and our friendly Koala Cake. Pretty much any other animals are available.
We can also provide you with cupcakes in a wide-range of flavours, unicorn cupcakes and cupcakes with your photo or chosen design on them. Prices start from £3 each (minimum order of six).
We are also regularly make wedding cakes to order. Traditional two tier wedding cakes start from £245, but we can quote for smaller or larger cakes or cakes which are a little out of the ordinary. As always, just tell us what you're looking for, and we'll do the rest!
We can make our cakes gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan if you want. Let us know your requirements when ordering.
Sue's Bake Hut was founded in 2017. I originally set up my business to supply a Margate sweet parlour with rainbow and unicorn cupcakes, sponges and tray-bakes and suchlike, but decided to branch out and do my own thing.
Quite some time ago, my sticky toffee cake made it to the 3 person finals of the Delicious Magazine "design your own cake" competition.
Our kitchen has had a 5 star food hygiene rating right from when we first set up. We're also fully insured, so everything here is all very professional, although we pride ourselves on our friendly approach, too. Typically, we make over 150 cakes a year.
You can collect from our premises in Ramsgate (although wedding cakes can obviously be delivered to local venues).
Just to mention that as all of our cakes are made fresh to your specifications, we don't keep any stock cakes on our premises so you should order in advance so we have time to make the cake you want for when you want it. Each cake takes at least a couple of days to make, and we can get booked up weeks (occasionally months for some dates) in advance, so it's always best to book early to avoid disappointment. You need only pay a small deposit to get the cake booked in and your date secured.
